Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary In-Person

The goal of this workshop is to find in the most mundane objects an unexpected beauty, a surprising play of light and shapes, or even unforeseen humor. How can the simple process of selecting a detail, or altering the way light falls on an object, or shifting physical perspective reveal new ways of looking and thinking about the familiar. Participants may use camera phones, iPads or other digital cameras for this workshop.  Bring along 3-5 everyday items from a kitchen drawer, your pocket, a tabletop. Additional objects will be available at the workshop. The simpler, the better. Be prepared to play around and explore possibilities.
