The Photo Poem: Collaborative creating with lens and pen In-Person

Do you love looking at the world through a camera lens? Are you intrigued with the power of poetry? Would you like to explore the creative process of combining these artforms in the company of other community members?

Join writer and photographer Sandy Long (SandyLongPhotos.com) for an awareness-raising walk through the natural surrounds of the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library in Narrowsburg, New York, followed by a collaborative poetry project indoors.

Participants will co-create a poem or free-form reflection arising from our outdoors photographic amble in a process that is welcoming, uplifting and fun.

Bring your smartphone or digital camera to capture what we encounter. The best photographers tune in with all of their senses, in a process that leads to shooting from the heart and better images.

We will awaken awareness by using our senses to improve our photographic skills, and thereby the images we create.

All ages are welcome.
