Tween Cartoon Drawing Class In-Person
Cartoon Drawing Workshop with Joe Kennedy
A 1 hour drawing session showing basic techniques to improve drawing skills for any skill level. Suggested for ages 8+, but interest in drawing is enough for any age to participate.
This workshop will focus on using "gesture drawing" to create expressive and dynamic sketches from reference and imagination, as well as professional techniques used by artists to turn their sketches into polished, finished works.
The workshop will focus on sketching human poses and facial expressions by simplifying forms, as well as editing and finishing rough drawings using a Light Table.
Materials for drawing (paper, pencils, pens, and markers) and reference images will be available, but students are encouraged to bring sketchbooks and preferred drawing tools, as well as reference pictures they would like to draw.
