G. Oliver King Presents "Self Made Men" by Frederick Douglass In-Person

Please join WSPL for our first ever Black History Month celebration with G. Oliver King! This program will be held Tuesday, February 7 at 6:00pm in-person at the Delaware Free Branch as well as  live-streamed via Facebook. Registration required.

Frederick Douglass was an American abolitionist, writer, orator, and statesmanMr. King is honored to portray the orations of this LEGENDARY ICON at Public Libraries throughout Orange and Sullivan Counties. He has worked extensively with the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop in many productions portraying wonderfully diverse roles. Mr. King was also the first to produce and direct Sullivan County’s first ever, all African-American production by twice staging an “upgraded” version of ”A RAISIN IN THE SUN” first in 1990 and then for the 50th Anniversary of the film’s premier.
